Basketball great "Skywalker" David Thompson revolutionized basketball, playing above the rim like few before. One of the most exciting and acrobatic players of the 1970s, starting in the ABA, Thompson had a 44-inch vertical leap. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 1996.
