On the verge of MVP greatness, Yankee shortstop Phil Rizzuto posed for SPORT magazine in this portrait in 1949. Rizzuto would finish second in MVP balloting that American League season, and a year later would finish first.

Image made from the original 4" by 5" colour transparency. Each Giclée fine art product is printed on 100% Hahnemuhle cotton rag art paper using UltraChrome K3 pigmented inks to ensure vibrancy, fade resistance and the highest available archival quality.
