The 1991 MLB All Star Game, held in Toronto on July 9th, 1991, would mark only the second time in history the Midsummer Classic would leave the United States.  The first MLB All Star Game held outside of the United States was also north of the border, hosted by the Montreal Expos at Olympic Stadium in 1982.  Canadian content was prominent throughout the weekend, as both Joe Carter and Roberto Alomar represented the hometown Blue Jays, and Canada’s own Ferguson Jenkins threw out the first pitch. The American League would go on the win the game 4-2, with the Blue Jay’s own Jimmy Key picking up the victory.
